Dr. Curtis Mitchem began his formal education at the University of Illinois, where he graduated from the Colleges of Agriculture and Liberal Arts & Science. As is common with many young adults, Dr. Mitchem explored other career options before he decided to go to dental school. Fortunately, people and events in his life led him to what he should be doing: taking care of people. A graduate of Washington University School of Dental Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri, Dr. Mitchem returned to his hometown in Champaign, IL, with his wife Kenna and two sons, Kyle and Clay, to open a general practice. Dr. Mitchem is committed to continuing education and has over 500 postgraduate hours completed. With an emphasis on implant and cosmetic dentistry, the skilled team at Mitchem Dental can meet all your restorative dentistry needs.

Dr. Mitchem has been the dentist for the University of Illinois Athletic Department since 1994 and enjoys the relationships he has had the opportunity to build with many of the student athletes.
