Implant Dentures are a type of dentures that will attach to dental implants surgically placed in the jawbone, they are secure and functional, unlike traditional removable dentures which rest on the gums and may require adhesives. Implant Dentures can be removable or fixed and are supported by 2 to 6 implants per arch.

Fixed Implant Supported Dentures:

This type of implant denture is permanently attached to implants, usually 4-6 implants on the upper arch and 4 implants on the lower arch, offering a natural feel and function. A patient cannot remove them.

Best for: Patient seeking a non-removable option. These dentures have a horseshoe shape freeing the palate coverage that exists with upper conventional dentures.

Removable Implant Supported Dentures:

This type of implant dentures snap onto implants and can be removed for daily maintenance. Usually, These dentures have the advantage that are secured by implants and do not move like conventional non-implant dentures. Implant dentures look natural, mastication is solid and efficient.

Best for: Patients seeking a non-moving solution to their conventional dentures and patients seeking easier maintenance.

1. Consultation and Planning

A clinical evaluation, 3D imaging, and medical history will be evaluated by our dentist to create in detail your treatment plan.

2. Implant Placement

• Dental implants will be surgically placed into the jawbone.
• The healing period, osseointegration, lasts around 3-4 months, allowing the implants to integrate or fuse to the bone.

3. Abutment Placement

• Once the healing period ends, and implants are integrated into the bone, abutments or connectors are placed to the implant. These will allow for the denture to attach or connect to the implants.
• A final impression or Scan is obtained to capture the exact location of the implants to allow denture fabrication.

4. Denture Fabrication and Placement

• Custom-made dentures are designed and fabricated to fit the abutments and fit your mouth comfortably.
• Implant dentures are either permanently fixed or made to snap onto the implants.

An ideal candidate for implant dentures includes those who:

• Those who have lost most or all their teeth.
• Have sufficient jawbone to support implants or persons who are willing to undergo bone grafting if necessary.

Fixed Implant Dentures:

• Floss and Brush daily using toothbrushes, interdental brushes, or water flossers.

Removable Implant Dentures:

• Remove and clean daily with a non-abrasive cleaner and a soft toothbrush.
• Removed them at night and soaked them in a denture-cleaning solution.
